FCA 2018 Jeeps Owners Manual Cover

You will not be seeing a new one on dealership lots until sometime around mid-January, but Jeep Tuesday turned on the ordering faucet for its highly anticipated Wrangler redesign.

According to JL Wrangler Forums, they have confirmed customers can now order the 2018 Wrangler JL Unlimited in all three trim levels with the Pentastar 3.6L engine and standard soft top. Both manual and automatic transmissions will be available as well. A three-piece hardtop is an option, and something Jeep will produce on its first models off the line, before filling in with soft top JL vehicles later in December. Those who like the dual top feature can still order, and this version will include a Premium Sunrider top.

Initial color choices for all three trim levels include Billet Silver, Black, Bright White, Firecracker Red and Granite Crystal.

Other JL Sport options include:

  • 17x7.5 Polished Granite Crystal Wheels
  • Alpine Premium Stereo System
  • Anti-Spin Rear Differential
  • Tubular Side Steps
  • Black or Black/Heritage Tan seats
  • Cloth Low Back Bucket Seats

JL Sahara initial options include the above mentioned products, as well as:

  • Body-colored 3pc Hardtop
  • 18x7.5 Tech Gray Polished Face Wheels
  • Infotainment System Group (larger UConnect screen options)
  • LED Lighting Group
  • Remote Start System
  • Leather Trimmed Bucket Seats in Black or Black/Heritage Tan

For the 2018 JL Rubicon, options also include the above mentioned features, plus:

  • 17x7.5 Black Wheels with Polished Lip
  • Body Colored Fender Flares
  • Steel Bumper Group

Those interested in being the first around with a 2018 JL Wrangler will only be able to get the Unlimited models with that 3.6L Pentastar until early next year. Two-door models are expected to hit the market around mid February, along with a second engine option - the 2.0L Hurricane Mild Hybrid. Jeep also has eliminated the Sahara trim level from two-door editions. A third powerplant, the 3.0L EcoDiesel should arrive in late summer or early fall 2018.

Jeep has not released MSRP on any of its trim levels or any option cost.

Jeep began production on the 2018 JL Wrangler last Monday at its Toledo (Ohio) South Assembly complex. All new vehicles are currently expected to remain on factory lots for 90 days before release to dealerships in mid-January.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will officially unveil its JL Wrangler on Wednesday, November 30th at 12:50pm during a press event leading up to the LA Auto Show.
