Not to be outdone by photos of the newest Jeep Wrangler, the long-awaited Jeep Truck also recently slid out in front of a spy camera for some picture taking.

The photos, first posted Thursday by automotive news and opinion website Jalopnik, are said to have been taken inside a Fiat Chrysler Automobiles facility - just like the earlier Wrangler JL ones. However these shots (unfortunately) still display the truck fully clothed and do not reveal too much, other than the whole four-door, Wrangler front thing that we've seen before in several road spy photos.

FCA really hasn't put much information out there at all about the truck yet, but what we know so far is the thing is expected into showrooms later in 2019 - as the automaker wants to make sure its next generation Wrangler doesn't run into problems after its launch later this year.

The truck will definitely roll off the line with a four door model, based off the architecture of the Wrangler JL, but rumors persist there may be a two-door model as well. You'll definitely see front Wrangler aspects on the truck with the familiar grille, LED lighting, flares and raked back windshield among the four most prominent. Spy shots also show off what we believe is a modular hard roof, but hopefully there will be a soft version down the road too. Nothing at all from FCA on the vehicle's back end. Like we said, info is sketchy. We don't even have a name yet for the thing. Scrambler, anyone? Comanche? Willys Gladiator?

Currently, FCA has pegged its Toledo, Ohio plant to build the next generation Jeep truck and is investing over $700 million into the facility to prepare for production. At the moment, Wrangler JKs are coming off that line but are expected to phase out by March 2018, at which time FCA will retool for the truck.
