Reviews for Quadratec LED Tail Light Kit for 97-06 Jeep Wrangler TJ
These are a must and I am glad I bought these. These tail light are super bright and look great on my 2004 Jeep. Installation was pretty easy, took me about an hour to do them. Make sure you install them correctly, I accidentally flipped them when I installed them and didn't notice until I was done. I got pictures but the tail lights are so bright the pictures turned out cloudy. The pictures are of the normal running lights and not the brake. I wish I purchased these months ago.
The lights area a good product, wiring is good, lighting is good, overall product is good. No issues on installation, huge improvement over the original stock lights. I did some a couple of others on Ebay, but most referenced the need to cut/splice wires and really wanted to avoid the splicing and connectors that could result in a lost connection given the bumping around and off road activity.
Bright as the sun! Love these.
Super bright, easy installation, and feel really well made. Definitely a great option if you want to customize the look of your TJ.
5 years ago I bought some leds on eBay they weren't anywhere near as nice as the Quadratec leds. They finally quit so replaced them with the Quadratec leds much better quality and the relay works better than modified relay thanks great product!
great LED lights, very bright bolt on install. simple instructions on replacing relay.
work great, nice product
Really nice lights. These are much brighter than the factory bulb type. The connectors fit the stock wire harness perfectly.
The lights are great! Getting them to work with my Smittybilt tail light guards took a bit of ingenuity.
Here's how to do it.
1. Drill out the threaded holes in the body with a 5/16" drill.
2. Use 1/4-20 1-1/4 lg carriage bolts that you can install in the lights before inserting them in the tail light and thru the guard.
3. Use silicon caulk to create a moisture barrier around the bolts and to hold them in place.
4. So, remove the tail light cover.
5. Insert and caulk the carriage bolts in the tail light.
6. Replace the cover.
7. Carefully put the tail light in the guard.
8. Use a washer and nut to tighten down the carriage bolt and leave it for a while for the caulk to set up
9. After the carriage bolts seem to be set, remove the nuts
10. Insert the bolts thru your three holes in the Jeep body.
11. Carefully reach up in the body behind the tail lights and get a nut started on each bolt so they don't get away from you if the assembly is accidently wiggled (this is the voice of experience talking)
12. Use a washer and lock washer with the nut and tighten carefully.
13. Make sure to level up the tail light/guard assembly.
Works great! And, I promise the three carriage bolts with lock washers is more stable than the original three sheet metal screws.
Lights are bright and clear. What a great upgrade to my 01 TJ.
12.
Love them and installed easy
