Reviews for Quadratec Adventure Mirrors for 76-25 Jeep Wrangler JL, JK, TJ, YJ, CJ & Gladiator JT
Whistle around 40mph. Can’t keep them tightened/usable above 50ish mph. The nut used to attach them is poor quality. Don’t attached and remove these often. If you just need something to keep you legal, these will do it. That’s about it.
Really not a great secure way for side mirrors. Cranking it down doesn’t always fit the billl.
Meets the legal or road legal definition of side view mirrors but vibration, wind, and weak design make them relatively unusable.
Mirrors are easy to install and look good but both sides start to whistle at 40 mph. Very annoying. I will be returning them and shopping other places.
Nice quality mirror just don’t stay in place in heavy wind.
Vibrate bad. Driver side won't stay adjusted. Moves when big truck wind blast from on coming traffic.
Junk! will not stay tight. They vibrate when driving, even on smooth roads. I have read the reviews and there are others that can not keep them adjusted. I can not recommend these mirrors.
Great concept but unfortunately I can not recommend these mirrors. I've changed the hardware ( washers ) to star type locking to help with the folding in at speeds above 40 mph or so. I will fabricate some bracing to see if I can eliminate the horrible vibration.
The vibrate like crazy. They need to be bolted on very very tight, if you dont, they will literally rattle themselves off. I lock tighted and torque wrenched them on, and they still vibrate. Forget offroading on a trail with em, its hard to use them with just engine idle. Its the single post design, the attachment point is so low that the long length of that metal arm just plain vibrates. It has to be under such high tension that if you flick it with your finger you get this little resonance thing going. normally who cares right? but its a mirror, everything you see will be all jumpy. even the slightest sub milimiter hardly even measurable wobble will make what you see very distracting. Its easy to assemble and use I guess, but unless you literally just want to avoid being pulled over by the cops, they will need alot of work to get truly "Daily Driver" road worthy. I imagine people will drive up the the trail head with full doors and pop them off and put these on as a simple "still legal" option. I have no idea how so many people think this is 5 stars, a single mounting point is not a good idea when its so far away. I'm currently looking for something else.
Easy to install, like the look, but... really shakes when driving. Also has a whistle from wind when driving over 50mph. Will be looking at another product soon.
Fold in easy @ hiway speed! Needs a better way to stay put.
