PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. — If Monday was all about the travel, as well as a stop at Buc-ee’s, today was simply about anticipation and preparation. Our move-in day for the Smoky Mountain Jeep Invasion has a unique energy mixture all its own. Part logistics, part organizing, and all excitement.

After a few weeks packing products and displays into our trailer, we arrived to the outdoor vendor location on the north side of the LeConte Center just before 8 a.m., ready to unload and organize everything.

For everyone, move-in day is really more than just setup—it’s the true kickoff for this event. It’s when the show transforms from an empty convention center and outdoor area into what can be best described as a sprawling Jeep village.

Rows upon rows of vendors with well-built Wranglers, Gladiators, even vintage CJs as well as Willys classics lined the area. Each telling its own story through wheels, tires, bumpers, lighting, and other custom touches. Vendors stacked crates, unboxed product, and hung banners, all while greeting familiar faces from previous event years. That attention to detail is part of what makes the Smoky Mountain Jeep Invasion one of the premier Jeep gatherings in the country. Every booth tells a story, and every product is displayed to spark inspiration.

For us, move-in day is also a process because everything needs to be set up and ready to go before the actual event starts Thursday. Because once it does, there really isn’t much time to do anything regarding product placement or organization.

So it involves pulling out pallets, breaking down boxes, setting up tents, tables and displays, while making sure all those items are easy to access once that green light goes off and attendees start flooding into the event.

As far as that product: we’re talking winches, light bars, cube lights, interior storage, dead pedals, seat covers, Res-Q recovery gear, and plenty more.

Of course, if you are attending the show, there will be plenty of event specials and some giveaway items baked into the mixture as well. So make sure to stop by our spacious display booth and take a look at what we’ve brought along for the ride this year.

This year, it didn’t take long to get everything set up the way we wanted, and by mid-morning, our process was complete. It also helped that the forecasted rain turned into just a sprinkle early in the morning, and then all sun the rest of the way.

This year’s event is set for August 21-23 at the LeConte Center and the surrounding area. Daily admission includes access to both vendor areas and runs $20 per adult and $10 for kids (5 and under free). Tickets are sold only at the gate.
