Education is the best accessory.

It seems simple and straightforward, right? Just like adding the ideal bumper to complete that special look on your Jeep. Or finding the perfect set of shocks to give you exactly the ride you want.

So it goes with education. Getting the specific knowledge you need to augment those special skills you already possess – eventually culminating in a degree and, hopefully, career.

And yet, not everyone is able to reach into the checkbook to secure this accessory. Hardly anyone, really. Especially these days when it seems college or university tuition amounts rocket higher each semester.

At Quadratec, we really believe education is the best accessory. We also understand everyone loses out when qualified and capable students are unable to further their education because of cost, as it just may be one of them destined to develop the next best thing.

So starting this fall, we are offering two $4,000 ‘Education Is The Best Accessory’ college scholarships per year – one each for the spring and fall semesters – to students currently pursuing four-year degrees in the environmental or automotive field.

“We are excited to offer this new scholarship program so that hard working students, regardless of financial means, can continue to have access to a college degree,” said Quadratec Scholarship Program Manager Shawn Travis. “This scholarship is a great opportunity for a deserving student to advance his or her education and gain knowledge, skills and tools to effect real change in their community.”

Interested and eligible students are asked to submit a 600-1200 word essay to [email protected] that describes who you are, what drives and inspires you, what you are learning, and how you plan to apply it to your career.

Please submit your essay as a PDF (preferred) or Microsoft Word document to be eligible for consideration. In addition, all essays must be accompanied with proof of enrollment in an accredited United States four-year college or university.

A specially selected Quadratec committee will review all eligible submissions and choose one deserving recipient each scholarship term. Entries must be received by October 31 for the spring semester, and May 31 for the fall semester. Winners will be notified via email and announced through social media and news articles.
