Jeep Sales Surge in Strong Q3 for Stellantis
Jeep parent Stellantis has seen some strong sales headwinds over the past few years, but the automaker finally has some good news to share. And much of it is thanks to Jeep itself.
Stellantis recently announced it closed out the third quarter of 2025 with a 6% year-over-year increase in total U.S. sales, while Jeep posted an 11% jump in overall sales, highlighted by strong demand across Wrangler, Gladiator, and Wagoneer models.
Overall, Wrangler sales climbed 18% in Q3, Gladiator posted a big 43% year-over-year gain and Wagoneer surged 122%, marking its best August and September sales ever.
On the electrified side, the Wrangler 4xe continues to hold its crown as the No. 1 best-selling plug-in hybrid in America through July 2025, with the Grand Cherokee 4xe sitting at No. 3, according to S&P Global Mobility.
Jeep also teased what’s next during its third quarter campaign. The brand announced an all-new 2026 Cherokee back in August, as well as offering a first look at the 2026 Grand Wagoneer.
Across Stellantis, momentum stretched beyond Jeep. Ram retail sales climbed 26% on the return of the HEMI V-8, Chrysler surged 45% on strong Pacifica and Voyager demand, Dodge celebrated its best Q3 Durango sales in 20 years, and FIAT ticked up 2%. September alone delivered Stellantis its highest U.S. market share in more than a year.
“Fueled by sales growth across Jeep, Ram, Chrysler and FIAT, our U.S. sales saw strong results in the third quarter,” said Jeff Kommor, Stellantis’ U.S. Head of Sales. “We are taking deliberate actions to keep that momentum moving forward.”
Stellantis Patents In-Vehicle Drone Docking Station
What started as a concept video in 2021 is now looking closer to reality. Stellantis has secured a U.S. patent for an in-vehicle drone docking system — technology that could one day give Jeep owners an entirely new way to explore the outdoors.
The design outlines a docking station integrated into a vehicle’s roof or rear cargo area, where a drone could launch, land, recharge, and store safely. Protective enclosures would shield it from dust, water, and trail impacts, while an in-cabin interface would let drivers control or monitor drone activity in real time.
For Jeep owners, the potential applications are intriguing: scouting trails, filming off-road trips, or surveying remote terrain for safety. While patents don’t guarantee production, Stellantis’ filing signals serious interest in pairing Jeep’s rugged, adventurous image with cutting-edge aerial technology.
For now, there are no official production plans, but this move sets Stellantis apart as it looks for innovative ways to keep Jeep vehicles at the forefront of exploration.
Jeep Expands Badge of Honor Program for 2025
Just in time for International Off-Road Day, celebrated the first Saturday in October, Jeep has rolled out the biggest expansion yet to its Badge of Honor program, giving owners more ways to explore trails and earn recognition.
For those new to the program, Badge of Honor gamifies trail riding: complete a designated trail, log it in the app, and you’ll unlock a digital achievement. Plus, for some trails across the country, a physical badge to display proudly on your Jeep.
The newest 2025 update brings six new challenge badges, including titles like 'Month Streaker' (tackle a trail every month for six months) and 'Moab Marvel' (complete all Badge of Honor trails in Moab). Jeep has also added Digital Trails across the country, including Steel Pass in Death Valley and Fruity Pebbles in South Dakota, so owners can earn in-app rewards even outside the official core routes.
For those chasing physical rewards, Jeep introduced six new Badge of Honor trails at the GOAT Trail, Cross Bar Ranch Off Road Park, Oklahoma; Lost Trail, Murphy, Idaho; Amatista Ledges, Doña Ana, New Mexico; Trail 8049, Black Hills National Forest, South Dakota; Trail 421, Stony Lonesome OHV Park, Alabama; and The Fallen, Hurricane, Utah. Completing one of these earns you an official badge mailed straight to your door.
This expansion keeps the Badge of Honor program fresh while reinforcing what Jeep culture is all about: adventure, community, and a sense of accomplishment — both on the trail and on your rig.
