Welcome to the Seven Slot Dispatch, our weekly aggregation of Jeep news and events from around the automotive landscape. Every week, we’ll be shifting into low range to bring you the latest news, gear drops, and industry moves shaping the Jeep world.

Whether it's fresh concept news from Moab, Utah, new initiatives from Stellantis, a dive into Jeep’s latest model, or a closer look at the community that's been living the Jeep life for decades, you'll find it all here — served up with the same grit and passion that built the brand itself.

Here’s the latest news and information.

Stellantis Ends Jeep 4xe Plug-In Hybrid Program for 2026

Just a short year or so ago, the Jeep Wrangler 4xe was sitting atop the North American rankings of top-selling plug-in hybrid vehicles. Now, it is no more.

Stellantis recently confirmed that its plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) lineup in North America, including the Jeep Wrangler 4xe, Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe, and Chrysler Pacifica PHEV, will be discontinued starting with the 2026 model year. Once among the best-selling PHEVs in the U.S., these electrified Jeep models have been removed from Stellantis’ online configurators and building tools as the company shifts its focus to traditional hybrids, range-extended EVs, and fully electric vehicles.

The decision comes amid a broader reassessment of electrification strategy at Stellantis, with executives pointing to changing customer demand and more competitive hybrid and EV solutions as primary drivers. Jeep’s plug-in hybrids also faced ongoing challenges, including multiple battery-related recall campaigns affecting hundreds of thousands of 4xe vehicles, which further complicated their production and market positioning.

Although 4xe PHEVs will no longer be available new, Stellantis says it will continue supporting existing owners and expand its electrified offerings in other areas. Meanwhile, Jeep’s lineup will still include non-PHEV powertrains and new hybrid or electric models in development, reflecting the brand’s evolving approach to electrification and off-road capability in the years ahead.

Stellantis Reports U.S. Sales Growth, Led by Jeep & Key Brands

Stellantis closed the fourth quarter of 2025 with notable gains in U.S. sales, reporting 332,321 total vehicles delivered—a 4 % increase over the same period in 2024, while December sales also grew 4 % year-over-year. The results mark the second consecutive quarter of sales increases in 2025, which the brand said is a reflection of improved alignment of inventory, refreshed product offerings and consumer demand returning to key segments.

Jeep continued to be a bright spot, with Wrangler posting its best December retail sales in three years and the Grand Cherokee also delivering strong year-end figures, helping the brand’s overall U.S. performance. Ram showed broad strength as well, with retail sales increases across light-duty, heavy-duty, and chassis-cab segments, while the Chrysler minivan lineup delivered significant gains for the quarter.

Stellantis highlighted its largest U.S. investment in history, $13 billion over four years, to support new product launches and expanded production capacity, along with continued momentum heading into 2026.

Full-year results for 2025 showed a slight overall decline compared to 2024, but the fourth-quarter turnaround underscores Stellantis’ evolving strategy and improved market reception of refreshed models, electrified powertrains, and performance variants across Jeep, Ram, Dodge and Chrysler lineups.

2026 Philadelphia Auto Show Brings Hands-On Experiences Back to the Convention Center

The 2026 Philadelphia Auto Show returns to the Pennsylvania Convention Center from January 31 through February 8, delivering nine days of new vehicles, custom builds, and interactive automotive experiences for enthusiasts, families, and shoppers alike. This year’s show leans heavily into engagement, featuring indoor ride-and-drive opportunities, an electrified e-Track for EVs, and the always-popular Camp Jeep, where attendees can experience real off-road obstacles without leaving the show floor.

Beyond factory vehicles, the show highlights the aftermarket and enthusiast community through Custom Alley, showcasing modified and specialty vehicles from local builders and car clubs. The event also includes special admission nights honoring technicians, first responders, and community groups. With affordable tickets, central downtown access, and a strong mix of new technology, performance vehicles, and hands-on experiences, the Philadelphia Auto Show remains a key winter destination for Northeast car and Jeep fans alike.
