So, three pedals and a manual transmission won’t be the only option for 2025 Jeep Wrangler vehicles with a 3.6-liter powerplant after all.

Jeep on Tuesday announced it will now offer a TorqueFlite automatic transmission option for those who desire that highly popular Pentastar. Originally, the automaker killed off this option for any Wrangler except for the 2.0-liter turbocharged version.

But apparently, consumer interest in an automatic was far too high for Stellantis to ignore.

"In response to enthusiastic requests, we're reintroducing the eight-speed automatic transmission for V6 Wrangler models, underscoring our commitment to freedom of choice, performance, and versatility for every adventure," said Jeep Head of Brand Bob Broderdorf. "We deeply value our community's passion and input."

Jeep earlier this summer said it was making several changes to the 2025 Wrangler, including the elimination of base model crank windows in favor of power locks and windows throughout the line. Additionally, the ’25 Wrangler would a few new color choices, including ’41 which features a military green theme, and Fathom Blue which looks to be similar to the older TJ series Midnight Blue appearance.

Finally, engineers included an optional Active Cabin Ventilation system on 2025 models designed to allow “customers to better pre-ventilate [the] cabin via mobile app before entering the vehicle.”

Besides vehicle changes, Stellantis is also offering a special edition Willys Wrangler for 2025 that includes a turbo 2.0-liter engine capable of 275 horsepower and 295 lb/ft of torque on its own (375 horsepower under electric power), LED lighting, front and rear steel bumpers and rear locker, as well as special military-themed graphics finished off in a subtle blue, throwback olive drab color scheme, 17-inch wheels finished in that same color, and 33-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 tires.

The eight-speed automatic transmission paired with the 3.6-liter Pentastar is available as a $4,500 option, while entry level 2025 model year Wranglers begin at $32,690.
