Hey Rob here for Quadratec.com. Today we're checking out the AMP Research Power Steps. As you can see I have a Gladiator here with me in the shop today but in addition to being available for the 20 and newer Jeep Gladiator, AMP Research also offers the power steps for the 18 and newer Jeep Wrangler JL both two-doors and four-door models as well as the earlier 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK again in both the two and four-door models. The AMP Research power step is just that it is a motorized power drop down step that immediately drops away from the vehicle the moment you open any of your passenger doors to make it much easier and safer to climb in and out of your Jeep especially if you've got a taller suspension or oversized tires installed. As soon as you close your passenger doors that power step immediately retracts back up tightly storing away just underneath the body of your vehicle to help improve aerodynamics offer a clean and sleek look and better ground clearance. The AMP Research power steps are constructed from both steel as well as lightweight die cast and extruded aluminum right here in the USA and they feature weatherproof OEM quality wire harnesses motors and drive systems with maintenance-free self-lubricating bearings for consistent and reliable year-round all-weather performance. Now the power step itself is approximately 7 inches wide and when you open your door it drops down away from the body about seven inches making for a very comfortable step height when you're climbing in or out of your Jeep. As you can see they also feature built-in led lights to help illuminate that step surface in the dark and that step surface itself features a non-slip ribbed design and the entire step is then finished in a slightly textured black powder coat finish to help protect them from corrosion.
