Reviews for Quadratec LED Interior Mount 50” Stealth Light Bar for 18-24 Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT
Really nicely made light and very easy install, just wish it didn't cause so much glare. For the price of this bar, I shouldn't have to jerry rig something to stop the glare, otherwise it is very bright, and I really like it.
Got the lights today, the box they were shipped in did not look like an original box, much larger, seal tapes cut and re-taped and the split light bar (connected by wire) was loose inside rattling and bouncing without ANY cushioning/protection. No bubble wrap or styrofoam. Looks like a returned or re-furbished unit, re-sent without much attention to what is inside. One small side gasket is missing and the light bar is very dusty...
Cost me a ton of money, upon re-entering Canada, I got ordered 14 days quarantine, ruined my Christmas... Other than that, I love the product and will be installing it tomorrow.
I love the product. packaging was perfect no scratches, no dents. received in perfect condition. it did took almost 16 days to get to my house (stuck in chicago because bad weather). I am not sure if I would purchased it again because of the price ($700 plus tax).
Very bright light, directions were good but they were missing the washers and there is no way to stop the light from leaking on the dash.... you would think if they heard this enough times that they would address this. I am sure I wont hear a thing and now I have to add a bead of sealant to fix thix.
I looked at the video a few times before I attempted. I highly recommend this light bar. I received in under a week and the light came without damage and with it's box in good condition. It was a little challenging and frankly, I was unsure if with a Rock hard rollcage installed if I would get by. My experience was even in a small one car garage, I was able to install and test. All lights on either the white or amber modes function and the instructions provided were correct. I used a fishing tool to pull the wire through. Highly recommended as the best 50" light bar JL option as it will not create wind noise or easily be stolen. It also has two light modes. Very satisfied.
Got this for Christmas. Finally found the time to install it the other night. Take your time. Watch the video. The recommended panel tools are a MUST. Installation went smoother than I expected. Disappointed to say that there is a SIGNIFICANT amount of light that is leaking from under the lower gasket, which creates a massive glare/reflection on the windshield. Hoping someone reaches out to me with a solution.
It looks great installed! Really bright in both amber and white modes. Just need to figure out this glare issue.
Great product, with an install that goes smoothly if you take it slow. You don't want to damage any of those fine interior panels in the front of your cockpit, and there is a lot of that going on in this install. I recommend you get a set of nylon "panel tools" as recommended in the quadratec install video, because it helps to preserve the smooth exterior of the many pieces after completion. I used a lot of ties on the wiring to secure things behind the panel. There is an awkward step when you are lifting this long metal assembly in place under the roofline and along your windshield, but if you are strong enough it is a one person job. The other challenge will be re-inserting panel with the grab handle that covers the support strut along the passenger side to cover the wires. That took some fiddling, but it is more on Jeep than the lightbar per se. When you do this right, the light bar looks like a factory option, and those lights really brighten up a dark place like you wouldn't believe. You will reduce your front windshield view about one half the size of your windshield visor, but it doesn't bother me at all. Just as a note, I installed this at night, in pitch black, in the driveway, with only my iPhone as the flashlight, and it took me about 2 hours (probably would have taken 1 hour during daylight hours). Great product.....
Light bar is great. Instructions were clearly written & pics were great. Install took less than an hour. The seal on the windshield needs to be adjusted not quite against the window, so a little glare comes down. Also one minor issue is the switch. It is on the left side. I think more toward the mirror would have been better as I mostly drive with my left hand so right hand can adjust radio heater etc. Also the switch does not have a light or glow in the dark, so it makes it a little hard to find the first couple of times in the dark. The light is super bright & having the option to go from white or Amber is great.
Just purchased and installed the Quadratec Stealth adaptive light bar .
Very poor seals, no matter how tight I push the lights towards the windshield and up towards the roof all corners have light bleed through.
Not surprising considering the seals are all cut short and dont meet in the corners.
I can buy all new seals and seal the lights correctly.
But should not have to do this for a $800.00 set of lights.
Pros: It looks great when installed correctly and It does work as advertised
Cons: It doesn't fit properly and there is a large amount of light that bleeds into the cabin. Additionally, It is difficult to reach up and turn off if you are driving a stick and don't want to blind other drivers. Lastly, jeeps often go through windshields, be prepared to uninstall and reinstall numerous times across the life of the vehicle.
