Reviews for Quadratec Quick Release Mirrors with Square Head for 97-18 Jeep Wrangler TJ, Unlimited, Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK
loud. They vibrate a lot also. But must have to stay legal. I later replaced them when I bought the quadratec tube doors.
Whistle will drive you nuts till you figure out how to fix. *** I ran a black silicon around the back where the rubber border meets the metal back.** Air getting in causes whistle, so seal the opening. Would i buy again? No. But for the price its really not a big deal.
Makes a whistling noise when driving and they dont st in place if on the highway or interstate.
Don't drop them!! There are no replacement mirrors to buy. You will need to purchase a complete set over again. They are not worth the double the price.
i have been really disappointed with these mirrors. i love that they're easy to attach - but therein lies the problem. despite tightening them as tight as I reasonably can, the mirrors will not hold up to even basic highway driving, let alone the Interstate. the grooves inside that are designed to create friction / keep the arm from shifting may as well be nonexistent. i feel as though i've wasted my money on these. hopefully i can improvise a solution that will keep them from slipping / falling during normal use.
left side adjust easy little bit annoying
They whistle, and are difficult to adjust to a good rear view. Not really worth the money.
These mirrors are pretty disappointing. We put them on our 2004 LJ. Although they bolt right on as they should, the engineering that went into them is pretty sloppy. As others have stated, they do not stay put even after locking them down tightly. A more aggressive tooth pattern between the bushing and the mount might help keep them from flopping in the breeze. Also, separate from the wind movement, ours have some serious play/wiggle room even with them tightened all the way down. To top it off, the wind noise starts as a noticable whistle at 33 mph and worsens as speed increases. For the money I expected WAY more!
putting them on and taking them off is quick and easy. they vibrate at idle, which isn't terrible. adjusting them is kind of a pain. the worst thing about these is the whistle. holy cow, these things whistle. i'm going to look into another set of mirrors next summer, would not recommend these.
Easy to put on, whistling is annoying. Can't seem to get the whistling to stop despite sealing the rubber with caulking. Whistling comes from upper inside corner, pretty sure where the wind hits the angled metal.
