I would have given it 5 stars, but mine came out defective, the irony is that the defect works in my favor. I installed it exactly how the instructions said, after coding the key you are NOT! to mess with the unit & key until after the installation, so after the install, I couldn't get the key to open the lock. After messing with it for 15 minutes, I found out that if you press on the hood a certain way and move the key a certain way, it opens easily. So if a thief has access to my keys, he or she still can't open my hood! LOL!

Install was easy. Lock programmed with no problems. It did NOT eliminate hood flutter. I was able to use a wrench to slightly bend down the tab that actually holds the hood and that did stop the hood flutter. I'm sure I killed any warranty on the lock with that wrench but I bought this to keep the hood from moving.
