Here’s the latest news and information.
QuadraTop Skylight Roll Top Brings Instant Open-Air Freedom
Jeep life is all about open-air freedom, but for many, running a factory hardtop usually means dealing with bulky Freedom Panels that must be removed and stashed away whenever overhead daylight is desired.Well, Quadratec’s answer is its new QuadraTop Skylight Roll Top, available for 2018 and newer Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT models with factory hardtops.
And they are now in stock.
This innovative panel is a complete replacement for those Freedom Panels, giving drivers the option to go from fully closed to wide open in seconds. Just flip two latches above the visors, roll the fabric panel back, and you’ve got an unobstructed view of the sky. The design tucks neatly into place with straps and clips, ensuring there’s no flapping or wind noise at speed.
Available in Black Diamond or premium Black Twill fabric, the Skylight Roll Top is engineered to protect against rain and the elements when closed, with arched bows that shed water away and hook-and-loop seals that keep you dry. For sunny days, an optional mesh sun shade can be rolled out right from the driver’s seat for UV protection without losing that open-air feel.
The kit includes heavy-duty door surrounds, the roll top assembly, optional sun shade, and features a simple, no-drill set-up. Then, once installed, operation takes only moments. The modern setup delivers all the flexibility Jeep owners love, whether you’re chasing blue skies, shielding from the sun, or buttoning up against a surprise storm.
For Wrangler and Gladiator drivers desiring a quicker, cleaner way to enjoy open air without the hassle of hauling panels, the QuadraTop Skylight Roll Top is an easy buying decision.
Jeep Brings Back ‘Reign’ for 2026, Shelving 4xe Gladiator
Jeep is keeping its tradition alive by adding another head-turning hue to the Wrangler and Gladiator lineup. For 2026, both models will be offered in Reign, a deep eggplant-inspired purple that’s a subtler take than past flashy shades. The color was first offered on the 2018 Wrangler, returned briefly in 2023, and now makes its Gladiator debut.
Reign will be available across all trims, body styles, and drivetrains, and will even extend to body-colored hardtops, the brand said in a press release.
Pricing hasn’t yet been announced, though Jeep’s recent Mojito! Green option added $595 to the sticker.
Sadly, not all news is colorful. Jeep parent Stellantis officially canceled the plug-in hybrid Gladiator 4xe recently, citing declining demand for electrified pickups. While the Wrangler 4xe continues, the Gladiator will stick with traditional powertrains for now.
Stellantis Data Breach Raises Phishing Concerns
If you have a smartphone number or email address, chances are your personal data has already been compromised in one breach or another. Unfortunately, Jeep owners now find themselves on the receiving end of another big one.
Stellantis recently announced that a ‘nefarious actor’ gained unauthorized access to a third-party platform supporting its North American customer service operations. The company confirmed the breach was limited to customer contact information, but even that carries plenty of risk in today’s digital landscape.
According to reports, the hacking group ShinyHunters claimed responsibility, boasting it stole as many as 18 million records from Stellantis’ Salesforce account. The breach included names, phone numbers and email addresses. While Stellantis said no financial data was taken, this type of information is exactly what criminals use to supercharge phishing scams.
Phishing, once as simple as a sketchy email link, has grown far more sophisticated. Attackers can now cross-reference stolen data with what’s already floating around the web, making scams sound disturbingly legitimate. That means you could get a call, email, or even a text that uses personal information, or Jeep ownership status, in order to trick you into handing over money or account passwords.
For Jeep enthusiasts, this is a reminder to stay vigilant. Verify any communication claiming to come from Stellantis, Jeep, or related service providers. Be wary of messages urging immediate action or asking for payment details. And as always, when in doubt, go directly to Stellantis or Jeep customer support through official channels.
Jeep Heads to Texas State Fair with Camp Jeep, Games and All-New 2026 Cherokee
The Jeep brand is rolling into this year’s State Fair of Texas with its all-new 2026 Jeep Cherokee in tow, featuring a 1.6-liter turbo-four hybrid engine that delivers an estimated 37 mpg combined and more than 500 miles of range per tank, the brand said.
Fairgoers will get this first look at the Cherokee alongside the latest Wrangler, Grand Cherokee, Grand Wagoneer, Wagoneer S, and Compass, all part of a display designed to showcase Jeep’s spirit of freedom, capability, and exploration.
Besides vehicles, attendees will also experience interactive fun such as Camp Jeep, where professional drivers will take patrons on a rugged, off-road style course featuring steep climbs, sharp descents, and challenging terrain; Drive Zone, offering kid-sized versions of Wranglers and Ram trucks for children to drive; a First-Generation 1983 Cherokee SJ on display to honor the SUV that set the tone for every Cherokee since; and Duck, Duck, Guess which is a giant duck-filled box challenging visitors to guess how many ducks are inside for a chance to win a $100 gift card.
The Texas Auto Show has been part of the State Fair of Texas since 1913, and has been a key attraction at the annual 24-day event each fall. Admission to the Texas Auto Show is included with every ticket to the fair, and it runs Sept. 26 through Oct. 19 in Fair Park, Texas.
