While it may seem like it, not every Jeep owner has a newer Wrangler JL or Gladiator JT. Heck, some do not drive a Wrangler JK, either. In reality, there are still quite a few Jeep enthusiasts out there who get around in an older YJ or TJ Wrangler.
And with some of those vehicles pushing into 30-plus years of service, things probably aren’t in the best of shape. Things like seating.
Now, those seats in older Jeeps weren’t exactly built for comfort to begin with, and after a couple decades of trail duty and daily driving, they probably haven’t exactly aged gracefully, either. Faded vinyl, crushed foam, broken hinges — it all adds up. So, if your CJ, YJ, or early TJ is still sporting stock seats, now’s the time to give your Jeep’s interior a serious upgrade without sacrificing its classic style.
That’s where the Quadratec Heritage Premium Seat Line comes into view.
Earlier this year, we outfitted our '95 YJ with the full Heritage setup — front and rear — and the difference was amazing. Like, our back immediately thanked us, amazing.
The Heritage Premium Front Seats are crafted to bring back a clean, vintage vibe with modern support and high-quality materials, while the Fold and Tumble Rear Seat adds unmatched versatility and a seamless look from front to back.
Up front, the Heritage seats feature a fixed-back design with an integrated headrest and reinforced bolsters that hold you steady on and off the trail. The premium vinyl is UV-resistant and wraps around dense, flame-retardant foam that delivers legit comfort for long days in the seat.
The seating position feels factory but with much better support, and the added bolstering keeps you in place when the ride gets rough. Color options let you match or freshen up your interior without clashing with the Jeep’s factory character, and the stitch work gives just enough flair without being over-the-top.
In the rear, the Fold and Tumble Seat adds legit daily-driver utility. With just a quick pull, the seat flips forward and tucks up behind the fronts, giving you expanded cargo space when you need it — whether hauling camping gear, a cooler, or a spare set of wheels.
Passengers still ride in comfort thanks to high-density foam and the same premium vinyl as the front seats. It also installs with basic tools and comes with all the necessary hardware. No drilling, no headaches — just a solid, thoughtful design.
After plenty of trail miles, daily errands, and more than a few muddy boots, both the front and rear seats are holding strong. They clean up easily, haven’t sagged or cracked and genuinely make the interior feel like a properly finished space — not just a place to sit. The combination of vintage looks, rugged materials and real-world functionality is rare — and exactly what these older, refined Jeeps deserve.
So, if you are restoring a long-in-the-tooth CJ or YJ, or just tired of dealing with worn-out seats, the Quadratec Heritage Seat Package delivers everything you want: rugged materials, smart design, and that factory-style fit that just works. Whether you're wheeling or just cruising, this upgrade hits the perfect balance between style, comfort, and function.
