Terrific solution to hoist/store hardtop. I have JK 4-door and it works great! Easy install, easy 1-person hoist. I have used it about 25 times over last 2 years and no problems with rope or pulleys.

For the Money you cant beat this. I use it not only for my hardtop but for other large items like my Thule container. Installation was not hard.

Great way to easily raise/lower your hard top. I think its a bit pricey for what it is, but Harken hardware is top quality. I used Harken hardware on my Hobie Cat sailboat for years and this is the same high quality product. BE SURE you mount this system properly, else your top wont stay on the ceiling!

Excellent hoist! Instructions are easy to follow and installation was a breeze - it took me about 45 minutes to install the unit and within an hour I had my hardtop off my JKU! I don't have exposed joists (the ceiling is finished with drywall) and I did not use the 2"x4" set up like they say in the directions - I just didn't see a reason to mount 2"x4" lumber to my existing joists and then screw in the hardware. I just buried the screws a little deeper into the drywall to insure I had a good bite on joists with the threads. I am seeing no negative to this day and I installed this hoist about 30 days ago and have lifted and lowered the top on my JKU 3 times without any issues.

Installation seems a bit daunting when you look through the instructions but it really is not bad at all. Once it was up, it took less than 10 minutes to get the top off the Jeep. Works perfectly!
