Reviews for Quadratec Adventure Mirrors for 76-25 Jeep Wrangler JL, JK, TJ, YJ, CJ & Gladiator JT
They keep me legall! However, they end up folding back in while I drive. I’ve tightened them down and they still continue to fold back in. Again, they keep me legal but, I can’t really use them while driving.
Easy to install but never stay in place no matter how tight you make them which is frustrating when your driving and go to look in mirror and can't
Easy to install and decent quality for the price. Solves the problem of door mounted mirrors missing when doors have been removed.
Trouble is, both mirrors vibrate badly on their flimsy mountings. They're barely useable, but better than nothing.
could be tighter when installed.
As basic as it gets... easy, quick install and gets the job done, but for a little more money, there are probably better options. These are not a very wide angle view at all (they're almost telescopic), so you still have significant blind spots, plus at highway speeds they can vibrate and even change position unexpectedly even when properly tightened down.
A bit smaller than I had expected, but easy to install and remove when I want to take the doors off.
Loud whistling heard above 30mph. Electrical tape on edges nearest the windshield might reduce or eliminate the noise
Clean looking and simple design, but included hardware is useless. I ended up replacing all the bolts and rubber washers with metal spaces and larger bolts so that I can properly tighten the mirror arms to the door hinges so that try don't blow inward everytime I drive. Once I switched out the hardware and tightened everything down tight I no longer have movement from the wind.
They look cool and go on easy. But, they are worthless if you go over 50 mph. The wind blows them in and you can’t see. Even going under 50, I had a dump truck pass me going the other way and it blowed my driver side mirror right in. If you’re gonna do any highway driving, I recommend springing for a more expensive set.
Great for the price but they do shake when driving and anything over about 35-40 they have a rather annoying whistle. Will be modding to fix the whistle, the shaking is tolerable since the alternative is not having mirrors and I didn't want ones that mount to the body permanently.
